He's not saying he lost, he's saying he didn't feel that he won clearly so he didn't feel he won. AKA, what any real champion would say if they were being honest.
Sergio Martinez: "Sincerely, I believe I didn’t win that fight"

You are literally trying to pick something out of thin air.
He said" I SINCERELY, believe I didnt win that fight".
That is the exact quote he said. He doesn't believe he won the fight, obviously he believes he didn't win the fight,
If you believe you didn't win the fight, it common sense to say you didn't do enoughComment

The opposite of winning means a draw? Since when?
He couldve simply said "I thought it shouldve been ruled a draw". But he chose to say he believe he didnt win the fight..sincerely.
Conclusion: Martinez has a L to Paul Williams. I hope to see a rematch one day.Last edited by B.U.R.N.E.R; 06-23-2010, 05:31 PM.Comment

No I'm pointing out that technically he didn't say he lost which could mean he felt the fight was an even draw. You quoting him then saying this means for fact he is saying he lost is illogical.
He could very well have meant he felt he lost but based on that quote technically he never says that, nor should one take as fact that he meant he lost the fight as he could have meant draw. Comprende?Comment

I SINCERELY, believe I didnt win that fight".
Let me break it down for you
I = Referring to himself, Sergio Martinez
Believe = accept as true, take to be true,
I = Referring to himself again
Didn't = Unable, Incapable,
Win that fight = He believes there is no case he won the fight at all
If you think you lost, IT IS obvious you didn't do ENOUGHComment

"I SINCERELY, believe I didn't win that fight".
A). He feels he lost.
B). He feels it was a draw.
Those are the only two possible conclusions one can make based on that quote.
You cannot say A is correct but B isn't or vice versa.Comment

It's clear you are being extremely technical. Common sense would assume and acknowledge when a boxer thinks he didn't win the fight, he would believe the opposite happen, that he lost.No I'm pointing out that technically he didn't say he lost which could mean he felt the fight was an even draw. You quoting him then saying this means for fact he is saying he lost is illogical.

He would have done enough IF it was draw, since he didn't loseComment
