At the Palladium in Hollywood, California, Lance Whitaker (35-6-1, 28 KOs) scored an minor upset with a twelve round split desicion over Andrey Fedosov (21-2, 17 KOs) at the famed Palladium in Hollywood, CA. The scores were 115-112 Fedosov, 115-112 and 114-113 for Whitaker. The crowd was not happy with the final ruling. Fedosov landed the harder punches and floored Whitaker in the fifth round. so in the next card the promoter holds the main event is wills vs whitaker? No surprise there other then butler lasting 10 rounds & knocking down wills.missed the fight & hope to get a copy.fedosov dropped whitaker & it sounds like he deserved the win...I'd have to watch it myself to actually judge it but it's certainly a setback for the young Russian...still can't believe butler actually lasted 10 rounds after seeing what fedosov did to him in January.big win for whitaker!Comment

whitaker vs wills is a good fight between former prospects.whitaker has been in with many top heavyweights while wills is only 30 but being dropped by fat,42 year old butler is surprising but when he did step up vs arreola & kingpin he lost....this young fedosov has potential but with this loss it's going to set him back awhile.lance was actually a huge step up for him.I noticed on his resume his biggest names to date were butler,Galen brown,mireles...not exactly tough competition.if he was on the end of a bad decision I'm sure the fans will come out again to watch him...as I said going from brown & butler to goofy whitaker is a huge step up & it sounds like he did fine...maybe too big a step? Maybe whitaker,fedosov,& wills all on the same card again a few months down the road.give fedosov another step up on the wills/whitaker undercard,then offer fedosov the winner because it sounds like he deserves one.Comment

Remember when he legally changed his name to Goofi. That was when his career began to fall apart. Goofi won't make too much noise in the division but he'll pick up some paydays and knock off a suspect or two - like last night.Comment

Lance Mount Whitaker is still alive? haha.I remember when he was makeing alot of noise the turn of the centurry then he lost to Jamel big time Mccline and after that i knew he would never be a title holder, i was right. He had the size for the Klitschkos but he was like most big heavywieghts to danm slow.Comment
