      I appreciate this master craftsman.
There's nobody at 105/108 anyway. This guy he fought last night could barely make it on to ESPN so I don't know why you're so impressed.

You act like he's beating world class fighters. I get that you like him, but to call him a master craftsman is an insult to hyperbole.

"master craftsmen" aren't used as filler on ppv cards.

          His resume is solid.

He's already beaten world class fighters.

One of the Best Pure Boxers Ever, Why Doesn't He Excite Me? I usually prefer pure boxers such as Ricardo Lopez (Who is one of my favourite fighters ever), but I just don't seem to be entertained by Calderon. I have the same feelings about Mayweather. I know he's a great fighter and all, but it really doesn't entertain me much because he very rarely opens up.

Brilliant. If you can't appreciate his skill, you should probably be following a different sport.

Talk about a random post four years later.

He lost to Fuentes, at 36 years old and clearly washed up. That L means nothing to his career. It's like slamming Erik Morales for getting KO by Garcia. It's a meaningless loss. He clearly was done.

He went out on his shield in a FOTY war with Giovanni Segura, when Calderon was clearly out of his prime and Segura was in his prime. He went to war - that was the last time we got to see a near-vintage Calderon. It took a guy much younger and quite larger to finally beat an old, past-prime, 5'0 guy. Prime Calderon would have outpointed Segura just like he did Cazares and would have made Fuentes look foolish.

He was good but very defensive, with a monstrous footwork.
