Calderon boxes to his strengths. Why would he fight any differently? He hasn't got any power to stop opponents, but enough for his opposition to respect him. His boxing brain is unrivalled at his weight, a pure craftsmen. It may be boring to watch, but the man fights for a win, and if there is no need for a battle, he isn't going to war. Why would he, when he'd rather just school his opponents.

completely brilliant, calderon is the epitome of world class ring generalship, it's like watching a sweet pea-mayweather-pep hybrid, now if he had power behind his punches and was knocking guys out, he would be all exciting and probably the best fighter out there, maybe the era. the only thing he's lacking is stopping power............

People might find him boring because he has no KO power. I love watching Mayweather, and he's a tactician, but he has KO power and can make the fight much more entertaining. Qatching Calderon, you know the fight is going to 12 rounds. Watching Mayweather fight, you really don't know if it will go to 12 rounds. Don't get me wrong, I love pure boxers.

LOL, the dude is brutal to watch.

I don't give a **** what any "purists" say. He's about as 1 dimensional a fighter as there is in boxing.

Can't fight on the inside so he holds all the time, can't punch for ****, and the only way he can win fights is by running and potshotting.

              Spoiling midget.

When he's on ppv undercards I usually just skip it. It completely kills the mood of the night.

                Garbage.

Im going to do what U do to Calderon fights , since I also think ur post are garbage and contribute nothing more than hate. >>

Like someone said , if he had ko power , hands down the best complete boxer of this era. But definetly worthy of P4p ention. He outboxes evrybody. Most chicanos are just mad that their heroes rely on being potato sacks who cannot win a fight if is not getting into a bloody war. What we saw last night is the exact definition of boxing , I enjoyed it,. being Puerto Rican I enjoyed it triple , and it takes skill to do what he has been doing for bigger guys. Ah Calderon le deben de hacer un tributo en Mexico de el mejor torero , el torero q doma a todos los toritos mexicanos.

Its like DLH schooled Chavez. Skill , Calderon keeps schoolin mexican fighters who rely on face first warrior styles. Y Punto

Jack, nobody he's fought so far can do a damn thing about him boxing their ears off every round.

That's what makes him so great.

He makes the biggest punchers look bad and desperate.

                    I appreciate this master craftsman.

How could it possibly be terrible, not the most entertaining at times.......well most of the time really but ideally speaking that is what boxing is.

He lands clean punches and takes as little damage as possible.
