LaMotta is recognized as having one of the best chins in boxing. In the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre, his sixth bout with Robinson, LaMotta suffered numerous sickening blows to the head. Commentators could be heard saying "No man can take this kind of punishment!" But LaMotta did not go down. The fight was stopped by the referee in the 13th round, declaring it a TKO victory for Robinson.

Only went down when he was shot and way past his prime. Ali has a great chin but he had way more skills than LaMotta to avoid taking such big blows.

Agreed, people overlook a fighter's chin due to one TKO/KO loss. ANYONE can be knocked out or stopped. Not a Cotto fan and not defending him but his losses came to a questionable Margarito and Pacquiao.....what do you expect? Sure Cotto has a chin! it's just not an ATG chin.

James Toney took hard shots from MW-HW. Only been knocked down three times. By Roy Jones, Reggie Johnson and Sam Peter. He was clowning against Roy and knocked off-balance by Peter, he went down hard against Johnson though. Never stopped in 83 professional fights. That's a GREAT chin.

Cotto does not have a great chin. At 140 he was vey chinny and some of the shots Pacquiao downed him with were not that big. An alright chin does not mean GREAT chin.

billy collins jr. has a great chin aswell....remember when he fought luis resto in 1983? resto use some plater and took some padding out of his gloves,but still collins manage to survive for 10 rounds....what a heart and chin he had
