    Can Pacquiao beat a slick african-american ?

    Well can he?

People say hes ducked alot of these types of fighters. Like when he fought Morales instead of Raheem. Cotto instead of Mosley. Clottey instead of Mayweather. Hatton instead of Bradley/Alexander.

I think he would with ease just wondering what other people fought?

True Mosley is black, but he is not slick...He doesn't fight that way at all.

Back on Topic: Yes he can, and I beleive he will (Floyd).

No, he can't beat the one everyone wants him to fight.

Of course, apart from Floyd how many slick African American WWs are there? Can you honestly see Pacquiao losing to anyone other than Floyd at 147? I can't...

              Exactly.

              Martinez is slick.
              Joan Guzman is slick.
              Joel Casamayor is slick.

                  I think so.

People make the mistake of thinking Cotto was/is a face-first slugger. Cotto is actually a slick fighter. He's not super slick (he used to be slicker back at 140), but he knows how to defend and turn his body and he's pretty cute. He likes loading up with bodyshots and he has a big heart, that's his downfall. His reflexes also aren't super sharp, they used to be a lil better.

Marquez is also very clever and slick, this whole 'Manny can't/might not be able to deal with a slick Afro-American' is just conjecture fans throw around IMO; fair enough, it's worth discussing. But I hate when people say, Oh he hasn't fought that type of figther, that type of fighter will give him nightmares! We don't know that. Marquez is extremely technically proficient, quick reflexes, light on his feet, excellent crisp counterpuncher and he gave Pac 24 great rounds; he also went down 4 times, and he is very sturdy and durable.

Bradley, Devon are just coming onto the big scene. But just because they're black doesn't mean they're slick. Devon's pretty cute with a good guard. Quick. But I don't know how 'slick' he is. When I say slick I think of Pernell Whitaker or, say, Meldrick Taylor. Guys who could zip combos and slip and slide shots. Devon's only had like 20 fights, and I thought Urango was givin him a solid fight till he walked into a couple perfectly timed uppercuts. Bradley has an o.k. defence but he's definitely not a slick fighter. He's a COMPACT come-forward fighter. I think Pacquiao would eat his ass up. A lackadaisical Holt put him down twice and Manny is quicker, sharper, busier and hits harder (or certainly just as hard) as Holt. Bradley would have to BECOME a slick fighter who slips and slides and counters to have any chance with Manny P
