Their height and reach definitely makes them harder to hit.
Are K2 so dominant because their so tall, not so much their skills?

I honestly think that if David Haye was the same size as the Kiltschkos he'd absolutely destroy them.Comment

Frazier beat Ali and Foreman beat Frazier, so there's no way Ali could ever beat Foreman right?
Oh wait ..Comment

Well, that is true but most giant fighters aren't coordinated enough to benefit from their size, the K2 are. That's allot of credit for them. When you are that big and powerful your jab equals a full force right hook from a normal fighter, that's why so many of their opponents seem to spend the entire fight going back, because of the jab - it hurts like a power punch.I was thinking, are the K2 bros so dominant in the HW division because they have such a big height advantage,
Isnt it just like a welterweight fighting a Light heavy?
Im starting to think that their huge height advantage allows them to control and dominate their fights.
Obviously they both have good skills, but is the fact they're so tall explain their dominance?
If they were both 6' 2" or 6' 3" would they be able to dominate the division?
im not sure they would
and no k2 or haye nuthuggers replies wanted, i want impartial unbiased opinions.
Still, just being coordinated when you are that big is very rare, that's why they are good and people like Valuev suck in comparison. The skills are basic but effective.Comment

No doubt. The reach and height advantage means they can jab their opponent while being out of range. The Klitschko's whole fighting style is based around their height and reach.Comment

These guys would have done well in any era. Some people just hate because there hasn't been dominant white heavyweights in a long time, and they would like to keep it that way.
Some white athletes are hyped up simply for being white, but the Klits are legit.Comment

I agree, and it also helps that there are no fighters in the heavyweight division with the skills to get inside of the range that the Klitschkos dictate. It's a combination of their size and how well their skills and style complement that size, like Lennox Lewis did.It obviously helps that they're tall and rangy, but they also know how to use their dimensions and control the pace and range. Other fights (Nicolay Valuev, Gerry Cooney, Mike White) have been taller and rangier than their opponents but didn't know how to properly use it to their advantage.
If they didn't have this advantage, I imagine that their trainers would train them to fight in a different manner.Comment

Lewis had a far better range of skills, he didn't just rely on his jab and stay out of range the whole fight, he could actually mix it up.I agree, and it also helps that there are no fighters in the heavyweight division with the skills to get inside of the range that the Klitschkos dictate. They've been fighting for a long time, they have lifetimes of experience...I think their height is a good variable in why Klitschko fights the way he does, however if W Klitschko was 5 ft 11 or 6 ft flat, I feel he would've still became a great boxer...I was thinking, are the K2 bros so dominant in the HW division because they have such a big height advantage,
