There's a difference between great and the best. I think Mayweather is in the top 5 as far who the best skilled boxers are. But an all time great include's intangibles, if Floyd would have fought and beat everybody in his division instead of retiring and had been more of a people's champ he would be higher up on the list.

This is true for all sports. A lot of people are nostalgic and always remember past athletes as greater than they really were. The truth is, modern athletes are always going to be better than past generations because of advances in nutrition, technology, technique, etc.

I'm going to say it: A B-level boxer today would KO SSR!!!

Elaborate on these nutritional and technological advances that has happened to change boxing during these years.
You should be able to, unless you are just spouting nonsense.

Also take into the calculation that boxing where the premier sport back in the days. Now? Not even close. The best athletes dont even choose boxing.

Burner is a Bum and a Clown!!! I Owned all the so Called EXPERT in ESB. That's the difference. I debated the Most Knowledgeable Posters there and I came up on top.

And I'm not the one who Hail me as a Legend. They Did, Those long time ESB Members. I just like the sound of it!!

I didn't mean a single guy. I'm talking about all the decent boxers of today.

For example, since SSR fought at WW, MW, LHW, I'm sure the top 10 fighters of all those weight classes could beat SSR.

              • Hes entitled to his opinion, most people would strongly dissagree with him though.

Well you should have at least someone to support your claim, besides you gave up points such as nutrition and stuff.

So who are those decent boxers of today whom you thought could beat SRR?

And one more thing, who's SSR? Sugar Shane Robinsion? Are we talking the same fighters? I mean I think SRR was Ray Robinson right?

Thank you, for being a big enough fan of the sport and unbiased enough to claim that its bull****. The hilarious thing is all these Pacquiao stans are running with it cause they think its true, as if hes suddenly ranked at #3 because Roy Jones said it.

Yeah, one man's opinion drives most people crazy it seems.
