I think Lopez will duck Rafael Marquez too.

Multiple things that Marquez has going for him.
    1. He has been in four fights with Vasquez which have been fights of the year.
    2. The last two fights brought out high profile celebrities.
    3. He can always fall back on Darchinyan which is obviously the easier challenge but would pay almost if not as much as a Lopez fight.
    4. He's fought on Showtime more than Lopez has which I presume is what network the fight will take place won't it?
    5. More proven resume

The only thing Lopez has going for him.
    1. His PR fan base.
i think it should be a split. Only because they are grooming Juanma and the P.R. folks are starting to really catch the buzz on this kid and with Marquez he never this huge draw (not that Juanma is) and he seems to be (at least by popular belief) on the decline.
    So 50/50 seems right imo.

    What do you think?

I rather not talk about money split. I don't care about who gets the most money. When did boxing fans become so intrigued with other fighters split?

Tito my favorite fighter of all time and I never knew what the split was or how much he got for any his fights except for Oscar. And, that was cuz after the Tito asked Oscar if he was worth the 10mil. However, I don't know how much the split was for that fight and I didn't care.

Are you guys muthafucking fight fans or accountants? Why the **** would you worry about who deserves the bigger split? Whatever gets the fight made, make it happen.

Grown ass men worrying about other grown ass men money. Some of you dudes have female tendencies.

If Juanma wants to break bread with me then I say he should get 90-10 in his favor, but since he isn't I don't give a **** what either guy makes. I just suggest they don't spend it all in one place

I do think it's corny as well. But it still needs to be brought up because like I said, Lopez has demanded 6 figures for his fights before. Well, neither guy will be lucky to make that each for this fight? So how is the split gonna be fair if Lopez takes that position? That is why I'm making this thread.

I honestly believe Juanma would have beaten marquez in his prime , vazquez and marquez went to war only because they wanted to. Calderon had boxing skills and decided to outbox Cazares. Any other mexican would have decided to let him land to slug it out. Thats the difference between those fighters.

Sometimes I think fans like iceta forget fighters are human. Juanma has more than enough skills to outbox , and probably ko Marquez. and thats my opinion. Marquez and vazquez we good fights cuz they managed to match up 2 above average fighters that happened to be mexican , and everybody knows that mexican fighters have great chins , not to mention heart. But How I like to call that style , Face First Warriors. Hit me once and Ill hit you 2. One thing is letting the opponent hit you , and then theres the skill to do it.

Pac use to let marquez hit him. Floyd didnt let marquez hit him.
