I think Lopez will duck Rafael Marquez too.

Watch him demand a million dollar payday for this fight when Marquez wants the piece of the pie that he deserves. Lol. I mean, I don't think Marquez will totally bend to his demands if you know what I'm saying and he shouldn't.

juanma can win this fight, it saddens me when a past his prime fighter takes a fight like this with hopes of winning. but thats boxing, and you gotta love boxing.

I think you sometimes could be an idiot who lets your hate get the best of you.

That is why you gotta love boxing. That guy has enough belief in himself to put himself in that type of predicament. Many times, the older vet wins. Barrera Juarez, Hopkins Pavlik, etc.

I mean, to my fellow posters, what do you think is fair where the split is concerned? Should it be even? Should one guy get more than the other?

Multiple things that Marquez has going for him.
                1. He has been in four fights with Vasquez which have been fights of the year.
                2. The last two fights brought out high profile celebrities.
                3. He can always fall back on Darchinyan which is obviously the easier challenge but would pay almost if not as much as a Lopez fight.
                4. He's fought on Showtime more than Lopez has which I presume is what network the fight will take place won't it?
                5. More proven resume

The only thing Lopez has going for him.
                1. His PR fan base. His title I guess is another one.

Everybody says Lopez wants this fight, but what about the money split? I probably figure he'd fight Marquez as long as Marquez got peanuts. But what if Marquez decides to go in another direction because of Lopez's diva demands like that **** of demanding a million for each fight he has?
