I think Boxing would be better if the Jr, and Super classes were entirely eliminated. We'd have, Featherweight, Lightweight, Welter, Middle, Light Heavy, and 200+ is Heavyweight. This would not only make each champion more respected, but it would make boxing more competitive as a whole because the belt will be more sought after.
One sanctioning body, with five people who make major decisions about upcoming fights, and matches on the world level. - E. Steward, D. Fischer, Lennox Lewis, Bernstein, George Foreman
These 5 guys would decide basically everything about the sport...I feel these 5 guys would run it much better, 500% better, than the current system.Comment

were do we start
1. greedy promoters who only care about the green instead of the sport or fighters
2. robberies that give victories to fighters who are the hometown fighter or a fighter who are with certain promoters and got media hype judging on the fights should be more fair
3. 4 belts in each division there should only should be 1 champion that way u want to be champ the best got to fight the best and no more BS title fights
4. more fights on free tv instead of ppv means more viewers= more exposure duh and if there are fights on ppv stack up the undercard as people are bascially paying for just the main event give people their moneys worth
5. there are too many weight classes i mean come on some only have 3 pound difference there should only be 10 divisions max that way those divisions get more spotlighted as there is lesser divisionsComment

Because Lennox Lewis's boxing experience made him such a great commentator, right? Who made better points during those broadcasts: Lewis or some non-combatant?
How many boxing fans have boxed on a professional level at the highest class? Does that mean their informed opinions are completely invalid?
Who should be allowed to analyze presidential politics? Both Bushes, Clinton and Carter, and nobody else?
There is a such thing as an educated, informed opinion. And the best journalists augment their education and their information by interviewing those who see things they don't or experienced things they didn't. A boxing writer may never have gotten in the ring, but he can have seen and learned enough to break down what a boxer is doing or not doing, to analyze what could be done, and then to get quotes from an expert to augment the analysis.Comment

Up and coming fighters being used as sacrificial lambs for other good fighters when they go to their land and then get robbed by decision if they happen to be better than they thought.
Not enough "free" boxing on tv......this PPV is probably the one killing boxing.
Not enough corporate sponsors so that fights can be free for all to see.And purse can be bigger as well.
People who says they love boxing yet their actions are the ones killing it.
That's all for now....
TS you got me started here...... Green K for you.

Come to think of it I hate that most so called boxing experts have never boxed or anything in their lives, how can kellerman think he knows what he is talking about? he would argue with Roy Jones Jr on how to fight, i mean seriously whats wrong with these people?
For that i can only give you one example of Enzo Calzaghe. Father and trainer of former undisputed Super Middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe. He has never boxed in his life, infact he was a singer and turned to coaching his son coz he couldnt do much in music field.
My conclusion : You dont need to have pro-boxing experience to have some knowledge about the sport.Comment

You don't have to be a chef to be a good food critic.........I guess this can be applied to boxing as well.........
1)And with the direction of your logic.......you will say why are there some boxing trainer who never box before, training boxers.
2) Why are some ****ty former boxer good trainers and good former boxers such a ****ty trainer?.
and so on...Last edited by Amazinger; 06-12-2010, 11:51 AM.Comment

American managers and promoters protecting the **** out of their guys to the point of C-/D+ guys getting title shots, and then getting completely owned by Mexican/European fighters. Not to take anything away from mexican or Europeans, but greed has absolutely ruined boxing here.
Example: Arreola fighting a security guard before his fight with Vitali.Comment
You do realize don't you that this sort of mimicking in a petulant effort to get a rise out of someone is what Kindergarteners do? :hahahaha9:
