Whilst this is true to an extent.

Floyd still hasnt fought the toughest possible opposition, so there will be people out there who want to see him do that.

Bob Arum is the main reason behind this. Had they not split I reckon that Floyd would have fought Cotto after Hatton.

      Nope.

Diaz was not the best. He got the title handed to him for free. Joel Casamayor was the real champion, was stripped and Diaz got it without a fight. Joan Guzman was also in that division. Katsidis would have been a more legit opponent than Diaz. Diaz was like Floyd fighting Bruseles. Difference is, Bruseles wasn't a title fight.

Flick....of course Diaz was not the best LW champ....BUT it was a TEST for Manny to move up to LW...many thought that Diaz would be too big....some thought Manny would UD/SD Diaz...none (including myself) thought he would destroy Diaz the way he did. Manny should've taken another fight at LW...but hey...DLH came calling and the rest is history.

I personally would've liked Manny to stay at LW/JrWW and cleanout that divisions.....but then we wouldn't have the Manny we have today....Mayweather wouldn't be in the picture....and nobody would be thinking any different about this island midget who keeps proving everyone wrong.

AND we probably would've been treated to Pacquiao / JMM III

Makes me feel sleepy reading joyboy's responses here. Six years ago NOBODY thought Pac will fight in 147, much less against Cotto and Mayweather. So what's the point of this thread?

If you claim greatness yo have to exceed expectations. Have Floyd really exceeded expectations? Wasn't he expected to fight these guys, EARLY in his career. Floyd has been WW for FIVE years, and he mangaed to fight only ONE top WW post-Judah. Talk about greatness. I'm tired of idiocy. Gotta sleep.

My impression of a ******* reacting to the facts you have just presented. "Shut the **** up! hes a duck! **** you and your "facts" and "logic" how dare you question our lord and master pacquiao? we will find you and kill you" thank you

Next on the path is a fight with the winner of Tzuyu-Mitchell. Assuming Floyd beats Gatti for the WBC title this would be a great unification bout. If his opponent is Kostya Tzuyu 30-1(24) this bout could be history in the making. Tzuyu is a legendary warrior in the ring with bone shattering power and the accuracy of a sniper. For Floyd this is truly a career defining fight. The ongoing battle of speed vs. power. if his opponent were Sharmba Mitchell then you have an equally entertaining bout pitting pure boxing and speed against pure boxing and speed. This fight could come down to whoever executes thier game plan to the fullest.

                who did floyd fight again?.......lol
