    A lot of guys in their 190's can't make 175 safely. That leaves them with nothing, because networks and fans won't pay to see them get wiped out against athletic 240 lb heavies. Some of the best fighters in boxing history were at that weight. Why f#ck them just because they are in between divisions?

          Thems is the breaks kid....Holifield, Mike,etc.....I mean sure I know these kats were bigger than 200 but they were smaller type fighters making **** happen in HW....the HW div starts at 200 and goes from there...so yeah I'd say thems is the breaks.....cruiser weight is pointless......if the 190 kats don't wanna fight the big boys then they should go down to light heavy.......

                I think Cruiserweight is necessary. Some fighters that outgrow 175 aren't going to be able to complete with guys at HW. I can't imagine Dawson moving up to HW.

                It would be the lower weights where the jumps in weight are like 2-3lbs that's ******. but the jump from LHW to HW is just far to much nowdays. Adamek seems to be the only one with success in recent years and thats because of his stellar chin, even then he's not going to be able to touch the Klitschko's IMO. Moorer is another, where the much bigger HW's could take him out.

                    Yes it is. BTW I think Cruiser Weight is a wasteland but to fairness to ppl that cant make the 175 limit or being to small for a HW I guess you got to put them somewhere.

                    In the amateurs we have HW and Super HW class which I think it is almost the same

                      I think they should get rid of Junior Flyweight and Junior Featherweight for sure.

                      It should be:

                      105 Strawweight
                      110 Flyweight
                      115 Super Flyweight
                      120 Bantamweight
                      125 Featherweight
