Well, what I'm not getting is why people are having such an issue with the list. While I might quibble with some of the details of placement it appears to be a valid and reasonable list to me. Nor am I getting the hostility towards Ring Magazine considering it's about the only publication out there that's even close to being authoritative.

Why do you have Hearns bolded with the remark (featherfist) next to it? If you think that, then you've got a lot of learning to do young lad.
Hearns is much, much too low. Without a doubt he is top ten, and should be top five quite easily too.
Anyway, Foster was just too small to fight those HW's. They were great, great HW's and good sized ones too. Foster didn't come in any bigger than when he was a LHW. If Foster fought today he would be fighting as a SMW and LHW and also CW. He was always just a bit too small to be any good as a genuine HW.
Ali was an average good sized HW and he was so much bigger than Foster in every way.
