My thoughts on Cotto/Floyd!!

Cotto has no chance whatsoever at any time, he's simply not good enough or gifted enough to even be in the ring with Floyd and everytime he gets close to the fight he gets his ass whooped. How come Cotto never called Floyd out? Why did Cotto's promoter call the "Pre-Margarito" Cotto too green for Floyd? If "Pre-Margarito" Cotto was the best version doesn't it speak volumes that his ower (Arum) called him green and not ready? If that was as good as he got and that was too Green then it's not crazy to just assume any version of Cotto gets humiliated Vs Floyd.

Physically cotto is too slow, his arms are too short, his defense isnt good enough, his footwork cant cut off mayweather, and he doesnt hit hard enough. Before the margarito fight cotto didnt believe himself that he was ready for mayweather.

I want to see the fight so mayweather can show emmanuel steward that he cant come up with a gameplan to beat mayweather so he can stop the hating. But I would hate for it to have be cotto that he proved it on.

You're a good poster Burner, but Floyd wouldn't destroy Cotto. Cotto aint no Gatti (God rest his soul.) Cotto with that great jab and timing along with his strength would give Floyd trouble. Floyd aint invincible. I got Floyd by decision, but Cotto would pose a problem for him.

First of all, Cotto is great at cutting off the ring, and did you say Cotto doesn't hit hard enough?? That's ridiculous. I'm a big Floyd fan, but damn if Cotto caught him flush he would be hurt. For ****'s sake, Corley hurt Mayweather. You guys are underestimating Cotto. He's not some sub par fighter. His jab, timing and strength alone would give Floyd trouble. I thing Floyd would win, but **** don't disrespect Cotto like that. He'd give Mayweather some trouble for sure.

The problem with Cotto is that there aren't many things that he does better than Mayweather. Cotto has a good jab, good left hook, and good timing, but those are all thinks Floyd also does well. Meanwhile Floyd also has speed, defense, footwork, and an excellent straight right hand. Cotto does have more of a killer instinct for finishing off opponents than Floyd, but that isn't going to help him much if he doesn't have any other advantages. I just don't see any plan for Cotto that would give him a good chance of winning.

you have to admit it would still be a good fight to see, I think it would be more fan friendly than Mayweather/Marquez and the good thing about Cotto is that he doesn't lose pretty by no means and at the end of the day anybody can be hurt in the ring so I think this fights needs to happen. Should have happened after the Gatti fight (RIP), but I the look on Cottos face said alot during that fight.
