    How time has changed!
I know I didn't but it would of been hard for a Tito fan to make excuses. We thought he had it in the bag. And, there were no excuses after the way he destroyed Joppy. Hopkins was just the better fighter period. But, that is why I love Tito he fought Hopkins and Winky when a lot of guys really didn't want to give them the opportunity.

I've only been watching boxing for maybe 5 years now from when I was 12-13, and I've watched so many fights it's ****in great! I didn't come in because of any particular fighter. I just knew the sport was about using your hands to beat each other up with your hands and I was like DAAAAAAAMN! That's what's up. I just love being a student of the sport and learning more and more.

I love watching Miguel Cotto fight but when he retires it's gonna sucks since he fights everybody with no special requirements which NOBODY else does now a days. But I definitely am not gonna stop watching.

It's about the sport, your favourite fighter is just a gateway to becoming interested in the sport. The Benn/Eubank/Watson rivalry got me into the sport, always watched Naseem and Hatton too but now I watch fighters from all over the world. Boxing's generally an entertaining sport, not the best imo but well worth following.

Dont get me wrong I have Favorite fighters. And I enjoy seeing them fight too. I'm just a fan of the sport tho. So even if all my top fighters retired tomorrow, I'd still watch. Besides most big name boxers usually only fight twice a year sometimes 3..

people who would leave because of their fighter retiring are not fans of the sport, just fans of the fighter, who boxing doesn't need anyways.

boxing needs real fans who love the sport, not just the participants.

casual fans suck and as far as im concerned ruin the sport because of how easy it is to get them on a bandwagon and how easy it is to sell them lame fights, that us real fans have to suffer through, all the while waiting on good fights to be made..............

i would be considered a casual fan of basketball, football, hockey, soccer, etc, only difference is, i don't try and get up in the mix like i'm a real fan of any of those sports, i could give two ****s about those sports, i'm a casual fan.

but boxing casual fans try and get all up in the mix like their the next bert sugar or some ****, just because they saw a espn interview or some ****. then they leave until the next hyped bull**** so called mega fight, all the while the REAL mega fights never get made, and they don't care because they're riding the hype............. i have a lot of friends who play this role and they never talk to me about boxing, because i've already set them straight, if they want to talk boxing, they know better and just ask questions..........

you can sell **** to casual fans and they love it, because it's all about the hype, real fight fans don't buy any of it..........
