I don't know where you got that idea-- Wlad could have put his fight with Chambers on ESPN or Versus in the US but turned down their offers to put it on their website as a PPV-- and then the feed on their website crashed... not too great for boxing either. BTW nothing will kill boxing, ever

More proof that the Klitschkos don't need the United States to become very rich and successful. They are providing a new model for European boxers like Arthur Abraham, who is following in their footsteps.

Yep, for the overhelming majority of Klitschko opponents, the Klitschkos are their biggest pay day ever, they all thank god that they are fighting them and not some Don King fighter for $90K (Rahman vs James Toney II I believe). The Klitschkos are very fair in that respect.

The only fighter I can think of that made more money with someone else is Rahman, even though he got paid in the neighborhood of $1.2 mil -$1.7mil, he earned way more than that against Lewis. But today, if he was fighting anyone else, he wouldn't get paid more than $100K, even in Europe.

Here are the question for the haters: If the Klits generate all of the revenue, why shouldn't they take 90% of it? What would you rather have, 40% of $1 million or 10% of $20 million? Simple math really.

Not really suprising a heavyweight of his stature should be getting paid like that, good for Vitali though.

Though I agree witha ya its no good bud, peeps won't even bother thinking about it like that - haters gonna be hatin' I'm afraid As far as the US is concerned any fighter outside is below par.

                  Look at the proof:

For all Calzaghe done he was still bashed by the Americans saying "Who has he fought?" *but* Andre Ward only win is in beating Calzaghe's leftovers (Kessler; using Calzaghe's strategy) and we get post after post about how good he is and how the EU is jealous :S

I wouldn't say all Americans are blinded by nationalism but a few are sadly. I'm a Mayweather & Pac Man fan and neither of those guys come from my country.

I just wish the same level of respect came both directions.

i wanna see a p4p cash cow list

may wins big head to head, but america's a big place. also, i wonder how good one of his fights would do on cable like the kbros do in germany. it could payoff in the long run with the bigger audience.

The Klitschkos aren't on cable in Germany, all their fights are shown free-to-air on network tv (RTL), the American equivalent would be NBC, CBS etc.
