Cotto is an excellent counter puncher..thats how he handled Judah and Mosleys Speed..what are ya talking about..and he had great footwork b4 his last few fights but we all saw Stewards imprint this past saturday with Miguel moving way better..AGAIN im not saying he'll beat pac but it wont be the same fight we last saw trust me.

ya forget this is when him n his uncle started having major issues..he didnt make the right adjustments when Ritos shots started to sink in..he wasnt listening to his uncle...he didnt need his uncle for jennings even tho he was there..he walked over him like he was supposed to...then he fired his uncle before his Clottey and lost alot of his footwork and technique..Clottey didnt make that fight hard on Cotto..Cotto did..he made it harder for himself then it should have been...same for the pac fight..no trainer, no footwork no strategy no adjustments during the fight...just a figther in there for himself...Cotto hasnt lost power or confidence..he's gaining everything back

Sometimes theres a lil more behind it then just oh he lost its over..look at mosley when he lost to Forrest..then he bounced back like mad crazy with KO's and quality wins.Cotto can do the same and has already started with the new 154 belt.

    • credit to him for wanting another crack at pacquiao even after such a beating, but the end result would be the same or worse

People keep talking about how he got dominated in the last fight. True, but he lasted almost 12 rounds and left Pacquiao with a puffy eyes and a bandage around his head. With Steward in his corner now, he'll at least have someone who is teaching him good technique and strategy. But it has to be at a weight limit of no less than 147. None of this catchweight crap.
Great post! People seem to forget that Pacquiao is imperfect and susceptible to defeat. Cottos still a A class fighter IMO and can knock that pumpkin headed mofo straight the F out...

How is that if he's improving or rejuvenating his footwork/balance which led to him staying wide open for Pacs shots..

If he's gonna have a great trainer who brings strategy and discipline to Cotto and the team, which he hasnt had in his last 4-6 fights.

if his new trainer is capable of making and enforcing in fight adjustments which Cotto lacked and is the reason why he would get on his bike and counter..cuz he had no clue what to do.

All these are what contributed to him losing to Pacquiao..if he's improving these greatly..i dont see how u guys can say It'll be the same or worse for Cotto...i guess im talkin to fighter fans and not boxing fans.

              • His best chance would be getting Pac at 154. Even then all he'd do is make Pacman a champ at yet another weight.

I am a HUGE PAC fan and thinks he will outpoint MAYWEATHER If they ever fight. HOWEVER, for those of you saying he isn't GOOD enough to share the ring with PAC are idiots. COTTO Is a world class fighter who fights to win and history, before money. I think the ****** weight stipulation had a lot to do with PAC being able to handle COTTO's punches the way he did. With no catch weight, LOOK OUT! IDC If they fight at 147/154, COTTO will most likely win. COTTO never had a problem with speed. He used to get hit a little much but now that is on it's way to being corrected, the style he fought FOREMAN In, he can beat anyone in that style. You guys think PAC and MAYWEATHER are untouchable! They not.

                  • Too brave for his own good. Pac offense is too much for him. He'd have a better chance beating floyd than pac. Man this just shows have tough this mofo is. If only he could lend floyd one of his testicles.

                    • Just try to run to the finish line like you did last time and collect a paycheck again if the fight happens Miguel.
