Yeah - I tend to think of fighters as contenders until they've at least unified two of the belts, but there's no point being too arbitrary about it all as boxing is what it is nowadays.

Miguel might be the best fighter not to have, at any point, been clearly recognised, through the ring mag or overwhelming weight of opinion, as a true champion. At 140 tszyu then hatton were the men, then mayweather at 147. A win v Williams would give him 154 would it not though?
