People degrade Miguel for not taking a belt from a champion and only fighting for vacant belts. However, is reality those people are hypocrites that know nothing about boxing. These are the kind of people that will spout out lines such as 'titles mean nothing anymore' and 'paper champions are ten a penny'. Yet, they dimiss Miguel as an impostor because he wins these 'paper titles' and then makes defences against excellent competition such as Torres, Mosely, Judah, Margarito, Pacquiao etc. So, what's it going to be? The man who is a bum and not a real champion who wins vacant belts or the guy that fights the best available opposition (apart from Williams obviously)?

Now he wins a fight against probably one of the poorest opponents he has ever faced and people are saying well done Miguel for actually taking a 'champion's belt'....

Miguel is a HoFer, and probably represents a throwback fighter more than any others in the game today. He hasn't ever been a proper world champion though has he....which shows you how many good fighters would have never become world champion in years gone by.

That's a very interesting point. It would have been interesting to see how the currrent era panned out with only 1 real title at each weight.

I think Cotto would beat Angulo. If Cintron can then Cotto can. I'm a fan of Cotto he'll fight anyone and he comes to fight every time but has skills too. Floyd and Pac wouldn't fight Foreman.
