I stand by my opinion that if it wasn't for the two knock downs Cotto would have won the first half of the fight.

He started well, after the knock down he started chasing rounds which made him sloppy and open to punches. A lot of what I saw though was common flaws in Cotto's game, he needs to work on having a second tank. The moment his reserves deplete he doesn't recover.

That being said as much as people say they wouldn't want to see a rematch between these two, I wouldn't mind it. Their first fight was great too watch ( The first half anyway, after round 8 or 9 it became painful to watch), and I believe he has a shot in a rematch.

Its easy to look much better against a poor opponent and much worse against a better. All i could think when i was watching the fight is that this just doesn't feel like world class boxing. Foreman has heart but i really dont think he is a top boxer and i feel cotto may have looked good against him just because of this.

Gotta agree with you there, i to felt it was like watching an A- fighter against a -B class opponent, with that said there was some stylistic issues Cotto had to deal with which kinda evened it up, albeit the odds were still stacked in Cotto's favour being that he is a level above.

cotto always had the skill, the question is his durability.........maybe now he wouldnt need it as much as last time if he improves his stance.....but still, pac is explosive....

i mean through the first 5 rounds...aside from the knockdowns, cotto only lost round 2.....he couldnt take pacs punches very well....if he had varied his style more to last 12 rounds outpointing, hed have a shot.....but it would all come down to him being able to take pacs punches down the stretch...

See i dont think his chin is that! bad, nor do i think thats the reason Pac was able to hurt him, to me Pac is a sharp shooter who is at his most dangerous when you pressure him, particularly if you pressure him wrecklessly(Hatton) where you dont see his punches coming, Cotto got embroiled in a fight with Manny and the punch that nailed him he did not see, perfect illustration of what im talking about, pressuring carelessly, i think its pretty clear that the best way to fight Manny is wait on him and make him take the lead and counter what he throws, i think Cotto could do that more consistently with Steward in his corner, not that im saying he would! win, but i dont think it hangs on if he can take Manny's power, it might hang on whether he can sustain what he is doing, because he has shown stamina issues before.

It's obvious that Joe Santiago didn't know what the fuck he was talking about. To me, Cotto was fucked mentally. When Pacquiao allowed Cotto to **** away at him against the ropes, only for Pacquiao to come back and drop him seconds later, that sort of killed everything. You could see it in Cotto's face.
