Would Cotto that beat Foreman have beaten Manny...............

Would Cotto that beat Foreman have beaten Manny? he would of stood a much better chance thats for sure.

You know i still cant make up my mind which was the most decisive factor in why Cotto got away from what he was doing against Manny, was it that the KD broke the rhythm of what he was doing, was it because he got too caught up in trading, was it because Manny had not gotten into his rhythm yet and that was why Cotto had so much success timing his attacks early in the fight, maybe Pac started a little tight, it could be all of these things but im not sure which was more decisive, of coarse Pac fans will say its because he had not yet gotten into his rhythm but........

I picked Cotto to lose to Manny because of his style, but mainly because of Cotto's stance, which used to leave him open to all kinds of punches, however Steward has started to correct that by making him keep his weight central where by he is not putting too much weight on the lead foot and leaving himself so open, Cotto was also content just to get off in the fight rather than come foward and look to seek and destroy, which helped a lot imo, see Foreman is possibly quicker than Cotto and that speed advantage would of shown up more if Cotto had been chasing him looking for a big punch, he would of been able to constantly reset Cotto, but because Cotto was not looking for big punches he was able to get off and react a little quicker with his own counters, plus he was able to stick the jab on Foreman and catch Foreman on the turn.

    I wouldn't mind watching a Pac/Cotto 2.

I always thought Cotto had some of the necessary tools to beat manny , I am not sure if the Cotto that fought Foreman would have won or done much better but if Cotto would have had steward in his corner not only for the Pac fight but a few fights before , he would have been a complete different animal , and if steward would have been in his corner for marg . marg would have gotten stopped. His corner never really works with urgency they are too calmed.
evangelista wasnt all that. He needs someone to tell him dont do this , dont do that , work on this , try that. Evangelista never did that , and santiagoonly cheered for one fight

Cotto should rematch Clottey first because many thought Clottey won that fight.

I don't know, I kind of thought Foreman's style, while being troublesome wouldn't really test what Cotto has left. But Cotto did show improved technique so I would say that Pacquiao would still beat Cotto but Cotto would be competitive for a longer period of time.

Although i know cotto did enough to win the foreman fight i really dont think he looked all that great.. it has me thinking that maybe i saw a completely different fight. His first few rounds against pac where exponentially better than any of the ones he fought against foreman..

I disagree. While Cotto was landing good shots and was aggressive against Pacquiao. He wasn't taking his time and the necessary precautions he should be taking against a puncher like Manny.

Against Foreman, he was patient and came forward with effective aggression but didn't force the issue.

Who knows, but I think he did improved some with Steward.

absolutely not. pacquiao does everything cotto does, but better and a hell of alot faster. cotto would always have a punchers chance of course.

Nope, Foreman was able to bother Cotto the few times he threw and moved out of the way similar to what Manny did, except Manny is obviously 10x the better puncher and moves in and out much quicker.
