Why is team Pac agreeing to an "old" deal?
Seriously. Do you really believe Floyd will stick with that story that it is off the table. LMAO........
He already got more haters for his comment of 1 to 2 yrs off, and now you think he is going to come out and say that the offer of 14 days is off the table now. I'm sticking with what I said earlier that it's too late.
GTFO with that ****!!!!!!
We ALL know that you can't take Floyd seriously because he BULL****S ALL THE TIME!
Now he has his Uncle to say on Radio that he is NOT taking a 1 or 2 yrs off, and that is just ******.
If his Uncle don't believe what he says, WHY DO YOU?
He already looks like the fool in this negotiation, and he will even more so look like the biggest ducker ever if he sticks to that ****!Comment

Just wait for Roger Mayweathers trial to start guys. If Roger is found guilty and goes to jail I think the fight is in serious trouble.Comment

Maybe so but he has good reason, and Pacquiao missed out on his chance to make this fight with everything he is agreeing to now in March, the only difference is that now he's not in as good a positions to negotiate as he was early this year.Comment

The posturing is annoying. That deal is off the table. Floyds situation is much different now who is Team Pac kidding with this bull****.
Damn I though this fight was close to getting signed. Instead agreeing to some old **** Team Pac should be serious about this.
I know this is Arums doing.
This ISNT a Pac hate thread. Pac and Roach want it.
ARUM doesnt.
Who are paving a way for his next excuses so they can defend him when he doesnt fight pacComment

Isn't it ppv stats and popularity that Pac uses as a bargaining tool as well? Just look at his reasoning for demanding more money than Cotto and Hatton...it was that very claim that you discredit Floyd for,but in turn, neglect to slander Manny for. How does that make him more of a warrior than Floyd based on that theory? If they are both negotiating based on stats, then why point the finger one way exclusively? I don't understand your debate...it is double standards.
You say "it is accusing someone WITHOUT accusing them" ....which one is it????
BTW-do you really think either of these boxers fight for free-of course they care about money-don't think for one minute than Manny doesn't care about money or fame as much as anyone else-it got him out of poverty and keeps him and his family out of a rough life....the same reason Floyd fights.
And what I was trying to say re PPV stats is that's all PBF HAS. Pacquiao is 7 division champion, FOTD & P4P King! If PBF surpasses Pacquiao's achievements then fair enough, he can call the shots..but he HASN'T! So why should Pacquiao submit to ANY demands by PBF??Comment

Team Mayweather, more specifically Mayweather Sr, accused Pacman the first time round. Then when negotiations started, Jr asks for OST in a non-olympic bout!! Its questioning someone's integrity without literally saying "You're cheating, take the tests and prove otherwise". Make sense?
And what I was trying to say re PPV stats is that's all PBF HAS. Pacquiao is 7 division champion, FOTD & P4P King! If PBF surpasses Pacquiao's achievements then fair enough, he can call the shots..but he HASN'T! So why should Pacquiao submit to ANY demands by PBF??
At the end of the day,FOTD will not give Manny any leverage in negotiations. The P4P king is really split with a lot of people divided, some have Floyd-some have Manny.
The logic I do NOT understand however,is that Manny is supposed to be "too good" to "submit" to trading off a request when Floyd granted at least 3 of his.Manny speaks of Floyd gaining an unfair advantage by these testings-what are they, and why are they no longer unfair a few months down the track???
If you look at who really wants the unfair fight,it is Manny-he wants the glove size in his favour (for power), the ring size (so Floyd cannot move or be evasive), and the history's largest penalty for a fraction of a pound over the weight (10 million per pound-wait,isn't THAT the commission's job,and when has Floyd weighed over the WW limit for a 147 fight?...in fact, why did Manny impose a million dollar weight penalty for Cotto as well??? Hmmm....it CAN be perceived as a way to discourage Floyd from fighting him-especially when Freddie Roach himself believed he was not ready to fight Floyd, and though Floyd accepted these conditions like a man,Manny couldn't oblige him for one request that would serve BOTH fighters and set a decent example for boxing....(we know that Ward/Green will be using this testing, all Sauerland fighters have been using this, and state commissions are speaking of upgrading their present standards...)
Floyd brings massive PPV numbers and interest as well as talent. We know that when both have fought similar opponents, that Floyd had done more numbers-and recently he has done bigger numbers than Pac-no excuses.
Hell, even his fight with Shane (who isn't a major draw) did more than Pacquiao and Cotto (both of whom are big draws).
So tell me why Floyd should have no right to a request of his own, because FOTD doesn't cut it- especially when Manny has based getting more than his fair share in all prior negotiations with Clottey,Cotto,Hatton, etc based on his own PPV sales and fame....suddenly he doesn't want to "kneel" to HIS own standards when it comes to negotiating.Last edited by damned1974; 06-08-2010, 12:18 AM.Comment
