I didn't agree with Roy about Greene fighting with the wrong hand though. Some fighters not only fight more comfortably with their power hand in front, but some fighters can generate more power from their opposite hand.

I thought Greene's only problem was that he was trained by his dad, and it showed. He fought like those kids on YouTube do, all sloppy an ****. Vanes didn't show much, but he did show that he was far more polished in the technique department.

Anyone else notice how Max frequently asked "why" after roy made a comment?

You could kinda tell he was just trying to test what Roy was saying and see if he had a an explanation to bag it up.

You could tell Roy was getting agitated.

Well, it doesn't necessarily prove anything about his knowledge or lack of it. It's pretty much the job of the other commentators to ask Jones for insight, and Jones's to provide it.

It was fairly obvious though why Cotto wasn't throwing the left hook, because he couldn't land it. When Foreman lost his movement, Cotto finished matters with a brutal left hook to the body.

I agree though, Max does talk out of his ass sometimes. Talkin about Greene sucks cause he doesn't have the same Sparring as Vanes. Sparring doesn't make you better unless someone is teachin you technique in the process. I don't why, but that ****, and Jones' rant about Greene fighting with the wrong hand in front started to annoy the **** out of me

It's nice to have Roy back and not have to listen to Lewis.

              Roy vs Merchant coming soon!

the jab isnt the only way to stabilize a mover. if you're orthodox you can throw left hooks or right crosses to the body or head, depending on which direction the mover is circling.

Yeah, Roy is a lot better when he doesn't make it about him. I'd like to see him retire from boxing before becoming a regular commentator again.

what max said about sparring is absolutely true. people arent signing with roach just so he can train them, they are also signing with him to be a part of that boxing environment. you're not gonna get that consistent level of sparring anywhere else. not only can fighters get great sparring, they also get to pick brains of all the fighters there.
