Yeah but sparring alone isn't going to make you better without being taught the propper technique, the thing that Greene lacks the most.

Forget getting a good sparring partner for Greeme, the guy needs to learn how to move in the ring. He looked like he had no clue what he was doing. And he was supposed to be better than Vanes in the Amats? He definitely didn't look it.

maybe he would if he had more experience vs good fighters who can move.
i agree its partly his mediocre training, but being exposed to good fighters on a consistent basis and getting more experience vs different looks can really improve a fighter.

Yeah I'm just thinkin, even with good sparring partners I would think he'd still be making the same mistakes. I don't know, but the fight was so boring that both Kellerman and Jones talkin about about that **** was the only thing to get me excited

if he was consistently making those same mistakes vs high level competition, he'd be getting his ass handed to him in sparring. you dont think he and his team would try to make adjustments if he's getting his ass beat in sparring?

anyways, i dont think roy put max in his place at all.
the left hook to the body used to be cotto's MAIN weapon. its perfectly fine to question why cotto hasnt utilized it in a fight vs a mover who fights with his hands high and did not always circle to cotto's right.

I like how Roy kept it real and was good at doing it. But I doubt they keep Roy on, which is the bias HBO BS. Kellerman will keep his job....Kellerman, Lampley, Merchant, and Steward are all under contract, they'll be there for a minute.

I love when early in round 5 Max comments that Foreman has found something. Roy interrupted him and said "Yeah he found if he doesn't do something soon he's going to be laying down. That's what he found." It was something to that effect. Classic ownage.
