cotto vs...................
bob arum is a joke every time he opens his mouth he makes me wanna puke. he should die for the benefit of boxing. to me they should make cotto vs cory spinks (should he wins against K-9 bundrage), angulo vs dzsinziruk or whatever his name is, sergio vs paul or a rematch between cintron and williams for the simple fact that paul won't get a fight with mayweather or pacquiao and berto vs mosley.
if not i wanna see cotto fight dzinziruk or berto and if they want to make the fight on PPV is simple put very good solid competitive undercard fights with well known fighters and they should do pretty good. to me cotto shouldn't fight mayweather, pac, martinez or williams right now not because he can’t beat them (especially williams and martinez) but because he needs to get more confidence in himself and get his swagger back and also have more time training with emmanuel steward. he had a very good win against foreman and looked good so a win over spinks, dzinziruk or berto will be a very good win for miguel and like i said it will help him get more confidence.
to me mosley vs berto should happen because is a win-win situation for both guys if mosley wants to continue fighting and prove that he's not done and is an important fight for berto because he hasn't prove ****. alfredo angulo?? i mean angulo is a good fighter but he's still a prospect and he isn't even a champion so that fight means nothing for miguel's legacy. chavez jr.??? common man what a joke this isn't even funny maybe with ariza's special blend one day he can become pac 2 but that fight is garbage PERIOD even mexicans hate that dude. and margarito???? he can suck **** in mexico i don't care about that bastard.Comment

less money for arum and his fighters if they have to split with another promoter.. to them in-house is a priority to give them and their fighters more money, unless a fight outside of their stable makes more financial sense (like pac-may)

So all the top options for Cotto are other Bob Arum fighters? I would rather see him try to unify with the other 154 lb champions. Unfortunately, that wouldn't make as much money for Arum.Comment

Arum is just so full of ****! ¿"Tomato Can King" Chavez jr vs Cotto would sell more than Martinez vs Cotto? C'mon! A unification bout between Martinez & Cotto would sell on a heart beat, especially after the way Martinez beat the **** out of Pavlik...¿Margarito? This cheating clown ain't even licensed to fight in the states!! & it seems like he ain't getting licensed any time soon...Arum is trying to keep his fighters in his promotion company circle & that just leaves the really good fights out the door....Cotto could also easily unify against IBF champ Cory Spinks or WBO champ Sergei Dzindziruk & these would be way better opposition than Chavez jr...Comment

I can't express enough how much I hate Bob Arum. He is on par with Don King, imo, he is ruining a great opportunity for boxing to really come back to the fore front of boxing by having nothing but "stablemate bouts". Its sickening that he is really trying to push Manny/Margarito down everyone's throat. He WILL destroy the negotiations with Mayweather AGAIN and we will see Manny/Marg and Cotto/Chavez Jr, 2 ****ty fights imo. Then we will see Manny/Cotto II....
Sad thing about all of this, when is Clottey fighting again? I'd like to see him vs Quintana or Berto, or even Shane.Comment

Now that Cotto has a world class trainer and looked really solid against a mobile mover, I would love to see a Margarito rematch. Of course EVERYONE would be glued to the TV when the wrapping of Margs hands are done, and then we get to see a fair barnburner of a fight. Cotto did great for the first five rounds, in round 6 he took two body shots and his entire demeanor changed. So, if the same thing happens, then we most likely know Marg didn't cheat the first time. But if Cotto is able to take his shots and handle them better, then I think Cotto goes on to beat him. I would love to see this fight, almost moreso than Pacman vs. Floyd Jr....Comment

@ThickBack, Manny only will fight one more time and call it quits. He has stated this over and over again. If he fights Marg, he won't be fighting Cotto next. He doesn't need the money and has a congressional seat to think about. He wants one more fight and I do believe he wants Floyd Jr, but if he doesn't get him, whomever he fights he will still make a bundle (like he did vs. Clottey) and call it a career. And personally, I would never pay to see Clottey again....Comment
