Yeah, I have to agree with you there. Dirrell didn't go toe to toe, he's a panicked fighter when under pressure, not a ring general - his physical advantages combined with Abraham's low workrate just flattered to make him appear like somewhat of an aggressor in that fight 'til it warmed up.

And I don't believe Cotto is shot (wasn't even jumping to that assumption *before* last night).



However, I also have to thank No Celings for a *very* watchable stream link last night. So thank-you, man.

You're a ****ting on a guy, who best attributes is his legs, and not giving him credit for keep going. A lesser man who best attributes are his legs would probably not have kept on fighting. I don't know if Dirrell falls into that category but he could very well be a fighter with a leg injury that will not have continued. Since he likes to use his legs.

You don't get that a lesser man would of found a way out. He didn't, he showed tremendous heart and toughness. He deserves every praise he gets. Nothing overrated.

Dirrell barely used his legs vs. AA. It was more of his hands. He said he did that to prove a point.

If he was hurt some exchange or they got tangled up then ok. But when you get hurt while running Im not down with that. I did a little homework and allegedly he always had a bad leg. It was just braced up very well.

When he let his hands go he had success. When Cotto laid hands on him he folded like a lawn chair.

Dirrell banked rounds and could just coast on his lead at that point, Yuri is no doubt tough for getting in there and while injured continuing the fight but Burner is right he was running for most of the fight and maybe if he hadn't been he wouldn't have gotten hurt in the 1st place.................well, at least not accidentally

He showed some creditable toughness in continuing injured, that's all you can say. I agree that it wasn't quite the apotheosis of Warrior Myth, but I haven't seen much of what people have been saying about it since.

Agree, we don't know how Andre would react in a similar situation so in that sense Yuri's toughness is more proven.
