Me, Myself, I have only had a problem with two fights in Floyd's career. The Johnston one, and the Spaddy one. As a former die hard Margo fan, I would have love to see the fight, but I never called Floyd a duck for it not happening.

The Johnston fight was different. Johnston was the man calling for Floyd. Floyd turned doen the fight due to the southpaw style. Not money, not venue, and not cause he was a nobody...Cause of a style...Call it what you want.

The Spaddy situation speaks for it self.

The Ts was making a point that if you call for Floyd, you get him...Not the case. All I'm saying.

Spadafora was never a fight seriously discussed. But boy, one sparring session took him pretty far. Johnston on the other hand...yes. But to his credit, Floyd moved up and fought the guy who beat Johnston in his first fight.

You seem to be guilty of this yourself. You're tryna make the argument that Mayweather ducked Margarito but it's obvious that you don't know the whole story or you're just not being honest. Mayweather had an an $8 million dollar offer to fight Margarito in August of 2006, he was willing to take the offer and fight Margarito but he wanted Arum to guarantee him $10 million to fight Cotto and Hatton and $20 million to fight De La Hoya. Arum was only willing to offer him $7 million for Cotto and Hatton, and he wasn't interested in trying to make a fight with De La Hoya. Mayweather's decision to leave Arum and fight Baldomir instead of Margarito was a no brainer, and anybody that criticizes him for th at saying he ducked Margarito is hating. It's as simple as that.

That's true, but that should have been Johnston vs Floyd, and Castillo get the winner.

Instead, we got Johnston vs Castillo (two very closed fights, the second most thought Johnston won, and should have got a draw in mexico in the first fight)...

Then most thought Castillo beat Floyd the first time...All in all, great fights. I just would have went the other way around.

It may not have been serious to Floyd, but it was for Spadafora. Yes the sparring session was key in the talks. Spaddy felt Floyd was not all of that. He felt he had a case to fight Floyd. I agreed with him. That was before I had even seen the video...Years before. i just remember HBO making a huge deal of it.

I don't get it...why knock Floyd for moving up and fighting the best fighter in the division in his first fight?

                  I'm not knocking him...

I just said I fault him for not fighting Johnston. It was a huge fight at the time. Castillo was plan B, Floyd was plan A. Floyd turned it down.

I just wish the fight would have happened. That's all. Both of them. I have ever marked Floyd's entire career as a ducker, but I do wish those two fights would have happened.

Agreed. He certainly should've fought Johnston after Castillo. Would have been a great fight. That said, he did fight the guy who beat Johnston in his first fight in the new division. Then gave him a rematch months later.
