Does it bother anyone else, except the so called *****'s, that is absolutely sick of seeing threads calling Floyd a Ducker.
I would actually love to see someone show me where Floyd ducked an opponent.
Everybody that has called him out he has fought. Just look at who he beat.
Superfeather: Fought Corrales (No1 in division)
Lightweight: Castillo (No 1 in division)
Light WW: Gatti (WBC Champ)
WW: Baldomir (Lineal champ)
Super WW: Oscar Dela Hoya (WBC Champ)
Its preety clear he ducked nobody from 130-140. To my knowledge Bob Arum nor Frank Warren wanted to pit either Cotto or hatton back when floyd was at 140 as they were still a bit green, especially Cotto.
147Now i have heard people say he ducked Margarito, and to me its sheer ignorance. He got paid the same money ($8m) as the Margarito offer to fight the lineal legitimate WW champion. Why would he fight Margarito over Baldomir when number 1, Baldomir had the belts (especially the WBC which Floyd covets) and number two Margarito was a higher risk fight for no extra financial gain.
Every fighter that called him out ie Hatton, Marquez and Mosley he fought all of them. Floyd himselof was calling out Oscar and Shane for years but neither would fight him as like the Margarito situation it was a high risk/low reward fight as Floyd was not the superstar at the time that he is now.
Im not even touching the Pacman v Floyd issue as it will just bring *****s and *******s in Trolling.
Also to the best of my knowledge Cotto when at 147 never called out Floyd. If he did I did not see the clip and i will stand corrected. (if someone could provide such a link brilliant)
The only fighter that imo that you could argue that Floyd has so called ducked is Paul Williams, but then again what WW wants to fight Paul Williams with his sheer size. Neither Mosley nor Manny wanted anything to do with Paul and you cant blame them, his reach advantage is staggering. Paul williams is currently not a PPV star and therefore does not make business sense for any of the top names at WW to fight. And remeber boxing is a business.
Finally I hope to hear your thoughts on the above and look forward to seeing the responses. Hopefully we can get an inteeligent debate going on the above although alot of threads iv seen recently just have people commenting while admitting they didnt read the post as it was "to long". That is just sheer ignorance.
