Comments Thread For: Lou DiBella Rips Max Kellerman Over Cotto Comments

Promoter Lou DiBella sat ringside at New York's Yankee Stadium to watch Miguel Cotto stop Yuri Foreman in nine rounds to capture the WBA junior middleweight title. Following the fight, HBO commentator Max Kellerman gave some of his usual post-fight opinions, and some of those opinions didn't sit well with DiBella. [Click Here To Read More]

LOL Kellerman just lost any single form of respect from me, Cottos never ducked anyone and has one of the greatest resumes of all time. **** outta here with that fight lesser opponents ****, Cotto will fight a top opponent 'cause he's not a ***** like Floyd.

Whats the big deal? All he said is that Cotto is a big attraction and doesnt need another big name to be an attraction and make money.

Dibella is on his period right now

Max basically saying to Cotto that you took incredible risks in your career, been in some very tough fights, ducked nobody, and at this point in your career, you gathered more than enough brownie points to fight who you want to cash out before you head out.

I might not agree with it as a fan that wants to see fighters fight the best until the end, but I can understand it...Even if Cotto would want to follow this path which I highly doubt he will do. To much Pride.

Just remember, once boxing is over, where is that kind of money going to come from? Not everyone is "set."
One more tough brutal fight and it's over. Max knows that.

Kellerman's right, but I expect Cotto to push himself to the limits. Cotto-Williams or Cotto-Angulo would be interesting.
