Ey Im wondering my self. Wouldnt shock me if it was true though. Everyone has been tight lipped on everything. It doesnt take much to get a Sergio fight done.

Was under the impression P. Williams was fighting Cintron again. Would love to see him in with Dzinziruk. My point is Sergiy is 34 and can't afford a whole lot of ****ing around at this point. They need to get him in with top guys soon.

But, to be fair he has not been ****ing around. He has been wanting and willing to fight the best. He has done everything he could do to fight the best.

Dzin is going to need more than that jab to win against Martinez I'm afraid or else he is going to get butchered in there

It'll be interesting to see how Sergio deals with that piston like jab. It very well could off-set the movement that he relays so heavly on.

Ok, lemmie restate then. He's had the title for 4 1/2 years. While he has been calling out top fighters, HIS PROMOTERS have been feeding him, for the most part, second-rate opponents. Hopefully he will get a big fight before he gets too old and his skills erode.
While I like Sergiy a lot, I think he loses competitive decisions to either Martinez or P. Williams. But he deserves the chance to prove me wrong

Williams has got to be one of the most overrated fighters I have seen in the 40 years I have been watching boxing.

The fight that should happen (but obviously won't) is Sergy v.s. Angulo. Sergy has the most to prove out of any anyone even if he has been a champ for years. He had a tougher time with J. Julio than Angulo and Kirkland; who walked right through him.
With that being said, if Sergy gets a top tier fighter it should be P.Will. Williams just had a very easy outing against Cintron and should want to come back quick against a decent challenger so he doesn't wind up with a long layoff before his re-match with Martinez. Even if he fought a really close fight with Sergy it wouldn't be very grueling, so it's a perfect fight before the big re-match.
Martinez deserves a break after two hard fights and three really good opponents. He is basically at the top of two divisions so he doesn't have to clean them up for everyone. After fighting Paul Williams and Kelly Pavlik he shouldn't take a challenge from a guy who's best wins are Daniel Santos and J. Julio when there is no great financial gain. Specially when there is a much bigger fight as far name and money readily available. Maybe even two if Mayweather is serious.
At the end of it all Sergy deserves a fight againts Angulo (which won't happen), Cintron, P. Will(since the result of P.Will's last fight). Long shots are Cotto if he looks good tonight, since Cotto could carry the fight financial and Sergy offers a legit contender at his weight who isn't a bruiser. Or the winner of the undercard. The winner of Joe and Vanes is a legit contender and isn't accustomed to making stacks of bundles anyways. Outside of that there is Corey Spinks; a name with a belt who doesn't want to fight but might get in the gym for a bigger fight than Bundrage and a unification.
I can't wait for Kirkland to get back Sergy would be a perfect fight for him.

                    You obviously don't know Dzinziruk

stripped because Shaw wants to protect Angulo? Not Dzinziruks fault.

Gary Shaw the guy who promotes both Dzinziruk and Angulo does not want the fight made.

If the promoter won't do business with himself the fight can not get done period. How do you expect the fight be made?
you're using common sense, he obviously won't understand you

It may but Sergio seems to be able to adapt to the opponent fairly well so if all he is seeing is the jab, he might be able to counter or attack around the jab. I think it would be a pretty good fight, Martinez appears to be more versatile to me.
