Really don't know why some people are surprised by this when he already mentioned before his fight with Mosley that he could only take one fight a year. He also stated that he would give Mosley a rematch. Problem was the fight with SM didn't turn out to be competitive, thus the impossibility of a rematch. Likewise, he mentioned in that same interview that he doesn't need Pac. And that if the next negotiations does start he would no longer give in to 50/50 purse split. Quite clear as a duck's quack that he would throw one roadblock after another to avoid fighting Pac.

I could imagine that the GBP boys are the ones pushing for this fight in the FM camp. So at this point you'd see a picture of a man who wants none of Pac.

Several members of Team Pacquaio have made every minute of the negotiations and non-negotiations public. I believe Mayweather did this deal with this kid a couple days ago. If he legitimately had no intentions of fighting for a year or two, I think this story would have gotten a lot more attention in the last couple days. Come on people, this isn't that serious, but that won't stop everyone from hanging on every word that comes outta Mayweather or Pac's mouth.

Obiviously, He was being sarcastic. the day was about the kid not about manny. Besides the kid is fighting a tougher battle than anyone of them will face in each other. Although floyd spanks that ass easy ko by round 8. Im surprise ronnie had time to write and article, he must have took a water break from the gang****(ronnie=taker arum, roach, manny=givers).

Instead of rematching De La Hoya, or fighting the then white-hot Miguel Cotto or Antonio Margarito, he retires. Thus, a genuine series of ducks.

He returns to the ring and fights a decent tuneup against a completely out-of-his-element JMM. He finally agrees to fight Sugar Shane, but only because he's now 39 years old. Still, before SSM was gassed, he was losing the fight.

Now in the face of fighting Pacquiao, the greatest fighter of this generation, he has come up with every reason to delay or push him away. First the drug testing demands, which Pacquiao agrees to. Now the "I may take some time off" comment, despite having just returned for two easy fights that did nothing for his legacy. He'll come back to fight Pac when Pac has taken a year off politicking and is no longer in prime fighting shape.

Oh, and he definitely won't fight either Williams or Martinez. Both are huge, quick, defensive, and awkward. It's not that Floyd isn't good enough, but the sheer physical mechanics of those propositions would destroy him.
This is the CAT, that says he would have

The Pacquiao extremist are getting wetter than a 9 year old kid watching Basic Instinct for the first time. At the Marquez-Vasquez IV fight, as everyone was leaving, Roach happened to be walking over to the LA Live plaza, people were following him for an autograph, I go up to him and while everybody is kneeling n bobbing for him, I ask: "Hey Freddie, is it true? Fourteen days? Is it true man?". He hesitated for a few moments and replied with a smirk - "I don't know". This was after there were glorifying reports confirmed by Pacquiao himself and his oh so eloquent groupies that he was willing to do 14 days AND HERE IS THE MAN'S TRAINER! Telling a fan that he doesn't know! When he specifically said, that negotiations for the fight had already started! Should I be a dumass like many on here and think "oh roach doesn't know, so that means it was never true dede de!" There was supposed to be a gag order but everyone - Arum, Roach, Konsz, PBF, Manny's wetnurse Ronnie are shooting their fcking mouths off. It can only mean one thing 1) This is all hype to add to the fight or 2) Arum and Co. do not know the definition of a 'gag order'.

And that "39 year old" fighter that Floyd shutout - was "avoided" by Pac. JFTR.
