    So.....
    * Mayweather officially announced his retirement during a "Make A Wish" interview
    * Arum (who hates his guts) is aware of this fact
    * But for some reason Arum is covering for Floyd, and is carrying on with the facade that the fight will actually proceed as planned

Actually, he made a public statment saying that he was taking a year or two off. He also retired after the Baldomir fight. He also screamed during the entire de la Hoya promotion that it was his last fight. So I really don't understand why people hang on every word he says. Well, every wprd he says that fit their agenda. Because very few of his haters seemed to hear him say back in Jan that he would accept no cutoff dates for the USADA testing in his future fights. Neither did they seem to hear him repeat it in the Mosley postfight interview. So it seems people listen to what they want to hear.

As for this being his way of ducking Pac, maybe it is. But for a guy as media savvy as Mayweather, there would be much more graceful ways of ducking Pac, if that's what his intentions are. He could use the USADA testing. He could use the fact that he's outdrawn Pac and won't accept a 50/50 split. And both those reasons would be criticized, but not nearly has heavily as flat walking away. Come on bro, use your head for a minute/

Why retire Floyd? Are you really that scared of a midget? You made a statement that Pacquiao is one dimensional fighter and easy fight for you.

            Why...?

If he were retiring, his team would not be wasting their time negotiating.

                    It's as simple as that.

This was only his way of saying that he is not at that particular venue to discuss boxing. He was there for the make a wish foundation.

Remember when he was asked about boxing at some concert or something like that, and he kept responding about how nice his suit was. Same thing.

They are in negotiations. They would not be if he were retiring. Simple logic.

Come on people don't force floyd to fight someone that he thinks he can't beat, I salute floyd for being very smart he knows exactly when to retire and to return in boxing.....
