    lets see

    1) he doesnt care about his legacy, he said it not me

    2) all he cares about is money, he said it and not me

    3) he doesnt wanna face pacquiao and get a beating

so if you look at it closely, he doesnt need the fight with pac from a $$$ point of view especially since he has made 2 million ppv buys and had the lion share of both in his last two fights

he probably saw it like this, how can i duck myway out of this fight? well why not just come out and say it?

he knows hes gonna get hell but i bet deep down he would rather have all the hate in the world than have a severe pac beat down and that he can live with that

    ITS REALLY THAT SIMPLE

this dude gonna walk around and he knows people will see him as a ducker/***** all he can do now is HOPE it will go away and cross his fingers

but we boxing fans will make him pay for it

It's becoming too much of a coincidence that whenever a division gets heated (WW division circa 2007-2009) or a particular fighter in his prime calls out Floyd (Margarito/Cotto), Floyd takes a break.

      There's a pattern here.

This retirement thing is no coincidence.
let's just wait and see, if he really retires or it's bluff.

That is right if he really go ahead and retire or rest for a year.We as boxing fans should not let him get away with it.

It does'nt matter if he's just bitter or want to be on the news as big as Pacquiao.

Who knows. I think he wanted to talk about the kid from make a wish and not boxing though. He didn't want to talk about potential fights and he accomplished that.

            Floud announced his retirement?

Sounded more like me he was avoiding discussing potential bouts...

Ddi he not try to fight Shane years and years ago?

Also, why do people keep saying he's "retired" again. I saw the clip and didn't hear him use the word "retirement" one time.
