I love it if it was true. I just don't see it happening. Not with the press release just sent out from the Mayweather camp. Not a smart move for Hatton right now if it were to happen this soon.

I doubt it. Hatton will avoid mayweather like the plague and continue to fight a string of bums for ten fights before fighting a top caliber fighter again and all without setting foot outside of manchester.

A string of bums? - many would say that Hatton deserves his place in that division more than Mayweather based on the people he has fought at 140 so whats that about?

Without setting foot outside of Manchester? - well he has already proven that he can fight outside of Manchester. In fact he hasfought in the US in his professional career so whats that all about. Plus do you know some sort of information that Frank Warren doesnt? His promotors even said that he is going to fight in America so what the **** are you talking about to be honest!

the latest is arum having his fighters mayweather/margarito face off in august. hatton is going to take a tuneup against maussa in fall.

          then maybe we'll see a mayweather/hatton.

I love the repeated jabs the article takes at harris. Also eXig, I understand that Hatton fought at msg in his second pro fight, but is taht really "proving" he can fight outside the states? Also note that Im not too familiar with Hatton's career and dont feel like going to boxrec, so if he legitimately did prove himself worthy of fighting outside manchester I take my comment back.

Doubtful. Hatton just made Zoo quit and knows it's time to seek guys with belts and the top-tier contenders, since he is one of them. I'm ready to pay big for Hatton to match with May, and most of the world is also, Hatton wants it, he feels invincible right now. Choosing a "bum" won't happen, unless it's Maussa, but that's simply for the belt.

I have absolutely no problem with Hatton taking on Maussa next.

That way he gets both a tune up and a recognised belt.

And if Floyd doesn't move up to challenge Judah, the fight with Hatton could be made early next year.

Agreed, but Harris is using his rematch clause. So I'd imagine Hatton or Gayweather will have to fight Harris if either of them want the WBA strap.
