the heavyweight division class of 2000

This is why there are so many aging heavyweight contenders.the best era in boxing(the 90's)was filled with great fighters.so many great fights & contenders but then the transition period started in 2000 & a decade later it's still in transition...here is the class of 2000....Calvin brock, audley Harrison, dominick guinn,Sam peter, malik Scott, paolo vidoz, davarryl williamson,t.j Wilson....peter is the best, brock had to retire,Harrison is just starting to make a splash.guinn is a gatekeeper that everyone avoids, vidoz had moderate success in Europe but hardly world class.Scott hasn't fought anyone & is a pro sparring partner & Wilson had a classic 2 fights with travis walker...LOL! Really this is why the division is weak.mesi who had promise wasn't part of the class but another who had to retire.only a handful of legit prospects the last decade...

What on earth does that mean, I tried to make sense of it?

It's a little confusing do you mean that the fighters are only just living up to there expectations?

Or there has yet to be a new "class" of fighters come through?
