damn....such a hard choice tbh i really have no idea who i would pick...their all great trainers who have all raised legendary fighters all of em have...so i really do not know but maybe cus or dundeeYour a naturally gifted and talented fighter with a choice which great trainer would you choose to train you?
Cus D'Amato, who trained champions Floyd Patterson, Jose Torres, and Iron Mike Tyson.
Angelo Dundee, whotrained many world champions including the greatest Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, and the comeback of George Foreman.
Eddie Futch, trainer of several heavy weight world champions all of which beat the greatest Smokin' Joe Frazier, Ken Norton, and Larry Holmes.Comment

Futch.
A lot of D'Amato's and Dundee's guys were already destined for greatness because of their natural gifts.
Futch actually took a fighter from nobody to somebody.Comment

I'd choose all three. D'Amato while starting out, Futch when the skills have already been developed, Dundee as the cornerman.
D'Amato did a great job with Tyson, Torres, Patterson, training them from when they were teenagers, although with Tyson he could no longer actively participate in training. He wasn't the best manager though, being too protective of his fighters, and he was rather one-dimensional in his approach as he wanted his fighters to be as aggressive and exciting as possible. It would have suited Patterson to be more of a boxer against bigger heavyweights as he went onto be later in his career without D'Amato.
Futch made up the best fight plans and had great understanding of the sport. The most accomplished trainer of the lot.
Dundee was a corner by himself, a motivator, an advisor and a cutman. He knew what to say to his fighters and always had their best interest in mind. Did a great job with Ellis turning him from a 160 lb fringe contender to a 195 lb heavyweight titlist.Last edited by TheGreatA; 06-05-2010, 09:44 AM.Comment
