Floyd has constantly dragged the name of the sport into disrepute, but he will be gone in a few years. Boxing will only be better for his absence.

i think floyd has saved boxing. boxing has slowed evolved more and more into a hit and not get hit sport. floyd is the pinnacle of this. i believe more and more fighters in coming years will be more willing to engage having seen how a fighter like floyd turns alot of fans away while pac attracts them, even though floyd is the superior boxer. not that there wont be boring fights but i am very hopeful about the sports future.

I was a floyd fan for years until he let maragarito punk him at a conference. He also retired when he should of fought Cotto and he wants to be the next delahoya acting like he has all this money when he is not even close to delahoya money. he just talks alot of trash about money and being undefeated to earn his props. He should of done it the right way by fight the best like he use to in the lower weight classes. But you cant hate on him thou cause boxing is a business and he is about his business. He will never be the people champ.

First of all i'm not a Floyd Mayweather hater, i admire his boxing skills in a big way. I really think that he has ruined boxing because of the things he has done in recent years. He has stated that he doesn't give a **** arse about legacy, and all he is interested in is money. We now get boxers like Tim Bradley and Amir Khan going the same way. These people won't fight the best guys out there and Don't care about their fans. Money talks and it is not good for boxing. Miguel Cotto is the truth in boxing as he will fight anybody. Just my opinion.

BUT MY POINT IS THIS, EVERY WEEK I am in a grocery store, I see JENNIFER ANISTON AND BRAD PITT sneaking off, and ANGELINA JOLIE FURIOUS, OR SOME CAUCASIAN CELEBRITY sleeping with others even though they are married, but it never gets the criticism that Tiger Woods got.... Michael Jackson was crushed by the media machine, but the catholic priest get swept under the rug.....

Floyd is good at what he does.... Many fighters will not engage as that ruins careers. As floyd stated... WHO IS LEFT FROM THE OLYMPIC TEAM WITH HIM???

Why do you think manny is about to retire? Why is shanes speech slurring? You see its not that tehy can do what floyd does, they fight and engage because they lack the skill to perform check hooks, pull counters etc. pac nor shane has a jab....... Yep, Floyd ruined the sport by caring too much about money and being a prima donna. Totally new to boxing. Never been done before at all, surely by any great fighters.
