The cut from the Judah fight inside his mouth reopened. Since midway through the 9th round to midway through the 10th Cotto was fighting off the back foot.

What you're referring to is the beginning of the 10th. Shane hit him with a big right hand and Cotto was moving backwards. That does not equate to Cotto being hurt, it's clear as day he was absolutely fine.

And Shane is the one who slipped causing the ref to stop the fight so that he could wipe the floor.

Cotto was definitely hurt between round 9 or 11 not too sure now, He backed off alarmingly enough for the commentator to question what happen to him, They didnt see that Mosley had land a punch on him but cotto played it off well and even won that round by jabbing Mosley.

I just watched again to verify, I will alter my view. My view is that Cotto was backing up as you say, Mosley hit him with a hard righd hand which forced him to hold on then the incident above with the wiping. My view is he was buzzed by the punches before which is why he went to the ropes, I'll concede he wasn't badly hurt.

I've always said I'm SURE Mosley took Cotto lightly, he saw these B-grade fighters hurt him, like corley and judah and thought "easy money" i cant see how else cotto walked through his shots.

cotto's chin really isnt that bad its not as good as it was in that fight though
its becuase miguel cotto has alot of heart and warriors spirit when he is hurt he survives it and ends up coming back with his own barrage of punches but much credit to both mosley and cotto their fight was decent and i would like to see a rematch even at this stage of their careers!

IMO shane was not a very big puncher at higher weights he fought in(WW, JMW).... the only devastating early KO i can think of was shannon taylor...

You've been here since 2004 and you write that?

Dude, he brutally KO'd both Mayorga and Margarito. Mayorga couldn't get up for about 5 minutes.
