    Why Couldn't Mosley Hurt Cotto?

Shane landed many if those big rights and left hands on Cotto but he never rattled him like he did Floyd with only 2 shots. Strange cause Cotto has been hurt by lesser punchers at JW, and WW.

He did hurt him, forget which round, maybe 9 or 10. Cotto was hurt, went to the ropes and the referee stepped in and ordered the corner to be wiped up, giving Cotto valuable time.

cotto was pretty drained in his final two fights at 140 and his chin looked shaky but he annihilated that myth when he fought mosley

cotto's chin really isnt that bad its not as good as it was in that fight though

The same reason why Floyd said Cotto is from Pureto Rico.

Have you ever lifted weight before?

          Well here is the reason:

Shane, in an attempt to move up in the higher weight, lifted to get bigger with strength training. Contrary to popular believe, you actually lose punching power doing that, and when he said along time ago that he was doing Olympic style lifting (heavy amounts of weight with low reps), I knew his power would be gone to an extent, because I have done it and the same thing happened to me.

He should have been doing explosive weight lifting (lower amount of weight, with higher reps at a faster pace). He admitted a while ago, in an interview after the Cotto fight, that it was the wrong approach to gaining muscle mass, and he said he lost alot of his power in doing so.

He got off that b.s. weight lifting program around the Mayorga fight and he the power that made him great during his LW days against Margarito and Mosley.

FWIW this is why Pavlik does that training with the hammer on the tire, and Pac uses Nutritional program to add Mass. Lifting to get bigger is very tricky and unless you know what you are doing, your power, speed, co-ordination and movements will suffer greatly.

He did hurt Cotto and Cotto has a better chin at WW than JWW.

Watch the fight again. At no point was Cotto hurt.

The cut from the Judah fight inside his mouth reopened. Since midway through the 9th round to midway through the 10th Cotto was fighting off the back foot.

What you're referring to is the beginning of the 10th. Shane hit him with a big right hand and Cotto was moving backwards. That does not equate to Cotto being hurt, it's clear as day he was absolutely fine.

And Shane is the one who slipped causing the ref to stop the fight so that he could wipe the floor.

yeah but he didn't have his trade mark explosive power. He admitted it was due to lifting wrong, and I believe him because that **** happened to me when I would lift hard for football season, then be stiff as hell with no explosion when basketball and track season would come around (When I use to lift like Mosley, before my S&C educated me on lifting proper).

That's not true. Cotto began boxing off the backfoot and the HBO commenators assumed he was hurt because he wasn't pressing the attack as usal. This has been common place in many Cotto fights, like the Kelson Pinto fight for example, where the commentators thought he was bothered by a shot seconds before he dropped Pinto with a counter combination off the ropes. Shane was pressuring Cotto and slipped on a wet spot in the corner. He then stopped his attack and motioned the referee towards the spot You can see it all in this GIF...

As the GIF clearly shows, it was Shane who wanted something done about the wet spot, and the referee never stepped in until Shane complained about it. This tells me Shane knew Cotto wasn't hurt, or else he wouldn't have let the slippery canvas prevent him from going in for the finish.

Well I do think he was hurt which is why he started boxing but against Zab, Clottey, Plasterito, Pac, Corley, Torres we've seen him rattled pretty good, strange Shane couldn't put him on ***** street.
