Casamayor isn’t a really popular fighter in the U.S., nor the UK, so I don’t know how this fight will do much in raising the popularity of Khan. Supposedly Khan wants to fight this bout in the UK and not the United States. If that’s the case, then I see Casamayor as being a bad choice for Khan. The British fans won’t be too familiar with Casamayor and won’t be nearly as interested in this fight compared to a fight against Katsidis. That’s the fight that Khan needs to make if he’s hunting smaller lightweights instead of fighters from his own weight class to fight.

Katsidis just got alot more popularity because he knocked out Mitchell, Before that he beat Graham Earl. Khan wanted to do one-upmanship on Mitchell who was calling Khan out, Talking about how he would knock Khan out, Mitchell thought he could beat Khan because he "outboxed" Prescott by running for 12 rounds.

He should have focused and trained on his own fight instead of talking about Malignaggi and calling out Khan, Now he is very silent.

Kahn should work Casamayor at this point but Casamayor is tricky and if Kahn makes a mistake you never know.

I guess it is a step up the danger scale but Kahn should pound Casamayor, I hope he fights someone better next.

Alot of past prime fighters fight at higher weights. Obviously we wont see the best casa on July 31. But I can see him giving Amir some problems. Amir should definitely win this fight though.

Khan may be a better fighter now but last i checked Prescott still took him out in 54 seconds, it only happened 2 years ago and Prescott is actually a junior welterweight now unlike Katsidis and Casamayor.

It's a good stay busy fight instead of picking on a shot lightweight.
