Section 15 (c) of the WBO Regulations states that:
“A WBO Champion who wins a non-WBO Championship in a weight class that is different from the weight class in which he holds his WBO Championship must decide within ten (10) days of the non-WBO Championship which title and weight class he will retain. No WBO Champion may hold a non-WBO Championship title in a weight class that is different from the weight class of his WBO Championship.”

Wow.....ridiculous rule....what does it matter if he holds another title in another weight class? If he defends the 160 belt, he should keep it

Completely agree...more fighters need to step up and say **** YOU, here is your belt! Unless these organizations have a retirement plan or some kind of benefit to the boxers I don't see why they should get a cut of anything.

Yes they did which is why I am angry at the WBO for their decision to strip him because they really don't have a good reason as to why strip him. I mean they should let him keep the title since he is really the #1 guy on the division.

And the thing is the ones that will dispute the title will be Danny Jacobs and Dmitry Pirog. I haven't heard of Pirog but I know Jacobs isn't one with the resume to be a title holder.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The titles are all worthless, all top fighters should forsake the ABC organizations and fight for THE PEOPLES CHAMPIONSHIP.

1 title, 1 ranking system, 1 champion in each division.

Thats the only title that matters anyway.
