Fights where 15 rounds would have made a drastic difference

Well, I only think that Taylor was able to build his lead like he did through volume punching in the first place...if you notice in the fight, the more Taylor let up and stopped punching, the more damage Chavez did against him. Chavez had much more trouble against volume punchers or active fighters than actual boxers. It's most difficult. Fighters will expend their energy differently if the fight is scheduled for 15 rather than 12. For example if Chavez-Taylor was a 15-rounder I'm sure Taylor would have paced himself a little better. It's clear, if you just choose to view the question by putting another 3 rounds on top of the 12 that's already been fought, that Taylor would have been stopped in the next round.
If Taylor had let up in the earlier rounds, he might not have even made it to the 12th round.
but I certainly see your point.Comment

mayweather-castillo maybe. may was young and the pressure was getting to him.
froch-kessler. i doubt either guy could've went another 3 rounds
abraham-dirrell. maybe abraham wouldn't have been frustrated if he had more time to fight.
john-juarez II
hopkins-jones it's been a long time since i've watched, but it seems like i remember roy fading late. bhop was roughing him up a little bit
like bat said though, the fights would look different if they knew they had to go 15 instead of 12Comment

matthew Saad Muhammad had some great comebacks. He always seemed to be battered with all kinds of shots and almost always he came back to prevail. At least that's how I remember him
The perhaps best example (that i recall) is his second fight with Yaqui Lopez. Had it been twelve rounds Saad probably wouldn't have gooten the win and the kayo.
Also Joey maxim's famous win over Ray Robinson. Had it been 12 rounds Robinson would have made it.
The perhaps best example of them all is the first Louis-Conn fight. Conn pretty much outboxed Louis for 12 rounds (or at least led on the cards), before getting ****y and counted out in round 13.Comment
