I box for a living, turning pro in august..... Winky isn't just a good jabber, he's one of the better defenders in the history of his division and the sport as a whole. Paulie Malignaggi has a great jab, but he doesn't handle jabs well.

Fernando Vargas has a great jab but doesn't handle them well. Ike Quartey's jab is damn near unrivaled but he'd freeze up when a jab was coming back at him, in his shell

Winky is also a southpaw, btw. Tricky situation for manny mean, they won't outjab a good southpaw jab.

Ike Quartey simply has a better jab. Oscar didn't train 100% for Sturm and payed for it, plus Felix is bigger. Mayweather was skilled enough to hit him with the jab and because he was countering effectively.

          Winky is defensive.

          Floyd is defensive.

If both came out jabbing and chasing stright up or whatever, they would get jabbed.

I dunno if you know boxing, but there's a thing called offense and defense mate.

If you'rw new to boxing then PM anytime OK.

              It happens, get over it.

Lewis was out jabbed by Bruno
Liston was out jabbed by Ali
Ali was out jabbed by Norton
              Holmes out jabbed by Norton
etc etc (Many more examples these are 1st ones off the top of my head)

All great jabbers who were out jabbed and couldn't neutralize their opponents jab, you can't just talk about the jab and leave out their style e.g Ali's and Holmes' jab was nullified by Nortons style, and they couldn't protect themselves against his jab at all. Lewis was out jabbed and boxed by Bruno who's jab wasn't near as good as Lewis' great jab, but he still out jabbed him.

(Liston and Holmes share #1 all time jab for me)

Forrest was out jabbed by Quartey, Lennox Lewis was outjabbed by Mercer.

I suppose they had had overratted jabs.... Defense and Offense are two different things...

U cats all on the bandwagon, it is seldom a fighter known as a great jabber gets beat with a jab, like how Sturm beat Hoya....and many of u are just making up **** simply for the sake of disagreeing.
