Maidana: Back injury or NO BACKBONE?

Do you think he's really hurt or simply trying to duck a couple of fighters?

This is excellent Khan is now calling for Maidana. The fight will soon get made after Maidana recovers from his injury. Anyone that thinks Maidana is scared to fight Khan should not be taken seriously.

Obviously he isn't the most technically sound fighter but I see no reason to doubt his heart. I wouldn't accuse him of ducking anyone.

He agreed to fight Kotelnik in Germany, then Ortiz in the US. It's clear that he isn't afraid to take tough challenges. Also, although Cayo wasn't anything special, he was skilled and unbeaten and not exactly a gimme either.

He was under no obligation to fight Bradley, and they are from different promotional companies so I doubt he was pushed into the matchup against his will by GBP. I think that if he signed for the fight, it's because he wanted it and intended to go through with it.

Any doubts should be cleared up by his future actions. If he fights a top name by the end of the year then I'd say his injury was legit. If he takes on a nobody then it'd make me wonder, but I'd still give him the benefit of the doubt. I think he's earned it.
