Sam Peter's Ranking Is A Joke

I see where Sam Peter is ranked #6 by the WBC, #5 by the IBF, and #5 by the WBO. Who the hell has this guy fought to be ranked so highly? He is so protected right now it's a joke. IMO he is a circus act that would get schooled by a legitimate top ten guy. Sure he has alot of powere, but he is so unpolished and sloppy with his defense right now. How many of those big ass punches that he throws actually land? In Taurus Sykes he is going up against another guy who can't punch a lick. Put him in there with another big puncher or a guy who can truly box for christ sake. I can smell another sham of a heavy being forced down our throats for sure.

...Maybe, but how the hell will we ever know when he fights 3rd tier heavies all the time?

agreed, but he is only 24, i think they want to put him in with a bunch of styles before moving him up, i wish they would step him up too though, id like to see him against a top ten guy

You might be right here Pbds but how can you be so confident that he would be schooled by any guy currently in the top 10...the division is full of **** and I would not be as confident as you that Peter would get his ass kicked by anyone in the top ten.

Has a guy like Chris Byrd ever kicked anyones ass?

...Yeah, and my main point was his current ranking when he really hasn't done anything to earn it YET.

true, but there is so many bums in the division, i guess even the sanctioning bodies get excited about a prospect

Anybody who has seen Sam Peter would think he is a joke. He seems to have NO skill whatsoever.....except his power of course.

juan carlos gomez would give him fits, diaz was just living off his in over gomez, but gomez did not take that fight serious at all, and was coming off a long lay off. gomez is one of the purest boxers in the world. he would easily outbox peter, so long as he stays away from the big shots.
