At Texas Stadium with all that hype and the extra Nike promotions?

      Unimpressive.

The arena was a big part of the event sell proposition.

Has clottey ever been on PPV before? Dont know anything about PPV in the states so am not too sure if the Cotto-clottey fight was on PPV.

I believe that both of them wanted the fight back in December. But Arum kept thinking that he had the leverage since Pac/Cotto had done well, and he knew he had in-house options.

The Haitian earthquake was the fly in the ointment, and gave Floyd a great unforeseen opponent. Bob thought that Floyd would be relegated to malignaggi, campbell, etc.

Pac lost both his economic foothold, and some moral credibility in the past six months. That forced Team Pac to make concessions.

            Happens.

No... Cotto-Clottey was on regular HBO.

No. Clottey had not been on PPV. But he had been on WCB several times. Keep in mind that WCB (generally) has higher viewership than PPV.

It's not hating. The fight was aggressively promoted. At a fancy new arena that was incorporated into the promotion.

                      Delahoya-Quartey almost 600K.

                      Whitaker-Chavez did 750K.

Let's keep it in perspective, please.
