true, Ali was landing the better punches/counters throughout the fight and blocking most of Foreman's punches, it was not like many people said it was, that Foreman just got tired, he took a lot of punishment before the KO

Though this is before my time. They should have made that fight again. I believe foreman would have beat him in the rematch. He thought he would run right over Ali and he fought that way. He would have fought differently in a rematch an conserved more energy and probably would have decisioned him in a second fight.

I did not see a domination... I thought Foreman was damaged ali more throughout the fight with his body attack. The ropes were in favor of Ali too. If they would have fought a rematch, though I love Ali, I don't see him beating Forman 2x. I thought Foreman was up on the cards before he got koed.

Foreman wanted a rematch, that is true. He did beat Frazier badly after, and Ron Lyle.

I think the Jimmy Young thing screwed him up, but it's kind of surprising there wasn't more efforts to make it before then as it would have been a huge moneymaker.
I don't think Ali wanted the rematch at all. Foreman was the topranked challenger all the way untill the Young loss and Ali managed to avoid giving him the rematch. No question that Foreman was the most deserving of a titleshot.

No way foreman was up on the cards because Ail did dominate him. Please dont give me this lucky punch bull****. Ali landed the cleaner crisper punches.

People assume that foreman was actually hitting Ali to the body, but if you watch the post fight interview it is revealed that most of the "hard" body shots are parried/blocked with perfect timing.

An immediate title shot wasn't possible since Foreman was a mess in 1975. He looked bad against Lyle but was back in form by the time he fought Frazier the second time. He should have probably gotten his rematch after that fight but to be fair he went onto lose to Jimmy Young which led to his retirement.

Ali was completely in Foreman's head after Zaire. He taunted him at ringside during the stunt Foreman pulled against 5 opponents on the same night, and Foreman was visibly intimidated when an opponent tried the rope-a-dope on him.

If compubox was alive then.. George fought ******. The rematch would have been good though.. George, I believe would still be the favorite had their been one... Nothing is lucky in boxing, Ali won that fight and nobody can question that. George was a beast and a freak of nature in his prime. I think that was Ali signature victory.

Guys like Foreman, it only takes one devastating loss, to ruin their mind state.. Imagine a guy who absolutely 110% believed he was invincible, all of a sudden he is on the canvas.. That kind of doubt is hard to rub off. Finding out you are just a man.
