floyd turned down the margs fight because he wanted more money. was he wrong for doin it, hell no!!!! it was the best buisness decision he ever made. he went on to fight dlh and make the biggest payday he has ever made. n btw dlh at 154 was much more of a threat than margs at any weight would have been to floyd. so i find a hard time calling that ducking.

They both turned him down. Also Kostya Tyszu (since you probably weren't watching boxing then, he was the Ring champion at 140)chose to fight Hatton at 140 instead of Mayweather when Mayweather called him out. There was no cherrypicking going on. As for Margarito, considering what Mosley did to him, even you should know that he had no chance against Mayweather.
lmao.. Floyd said openly BACK THEN that he wanted to wait til Kostya was OLD, like his uncle Roger when Kostya fought him,

been watching longer then you , son...

He also claimed Gatti was THE champion at 140 before he fought him...lol.......in an interview with Brian Kenny....
then Kenny said, "no Floyd, Hatton is " then Floyd said " last time you said Kostya is Kenny, wich one is it?? "...kenny just started laughing and said " Hatton just beat Kostya, Floyd, so now he is "....then Floyd saidto the camera " Dont listen to Brian Kenny, he doesnt know boxing, Im fighting THE champion at 140, Arturo Gatti " ..LMAO....

Not exactly true. I can think of at least a few fighters that Oscar avoided: Azumah Nelson at 130; Vernon Forest (after he beat Mosley twice) at 147; Winky Wright at 154 and Margarito after he beat Cotto (Oscar said at the time he would fight the winner, but that was when he thought Cotto would win).

floyd is 10 million times more accurate than cotto, and his defense is 20 million times better. so floyd can hit more and accurately while not getting hit

the point is i dnt beleiev in this whole cherrypickin **** cuz ppl like to apply it to fighters they dont like while their any amount of research or knowledge would show that most fighters, including your favorites (i.e. pac) do the same damn thing.

so we playing triangular theory now?

shane beat margarito after margarito was suffering the ill effects of the cotto fight which he took 2 punches to land one. not to mention getting caught with the plaster. he was mentally shook.

shane was made to look better than he actually really is by that margarito fight & it showed in the floyd fight where he started gassing in the 3rd round.

The Mosley fight wasn't until 6 months later...and how do you know how it affected him mentally?
