Gtfoh. The way Steele robbed my boy Taylor had me fuming, but JCC deserves mad respect. I hate people who say they refuse to respect a fighter that is a ****ing ATG ue to their attitude. Well **** that, I'm not a girl looking for a person with personality, all I care about is what they do in the ring.

I don't exactly care about a fighters attitude but I lose mad respect for an athlete when I find out they do lines of coke whilst they're still involved in the sport.

I will never and I mean never, give Chavez any credit. I can't stand him as a person or as a fighter. I hated when he beat Taylor and it still pisses me off that he could stand in the ring and raise his fist, after the beating he took from Whittaker. He is disrespectful, dirty, and a quitter in the ring. I loved seeing him bleed and getting nailed left and right from De La Hoya. Mexican fans that support him are just nationalistic pricks. There is nothing great about being a punching bag and brawling. This guy had no respect for his opponents even when he got his ass beat and I refuse till my death to ever give this guy any respect. Straight up scum bag.

I used to feel the same about Oscar but I don't feel that way anymore. It wasn't his fault that he was groomed at a young age and accomplished so much. I bet if Oscar had won a gold medal for Mexico he would be beloved. It all goes back to Mexico being such a nationalist country. MAB grew up decent and he was beloved. Obviously, Oscar is a different case but just because he didn't come from the alleys, brawling his way to the top is no reason to hate on the guy. Oscar deserved more from the Mexican fight fan and JCC should of put his jealously to the way side and supported. This is why I respect Tito so much more than JCC. Tito talks so well amongst his country men but JCC, hell I can't think of him praising any Mexicans except his bum of a son.

Everyone has different personalities. JCC was from the street, I mean really from the street. He had to fight and claw his way to the top, nothing came easy for him. I don't think he resented Oscar, I just think that it was Oscar's style that the Mexican people didn't care for, well some Mexicans because there is a lot that loved Oscar.

It's just that JCC is an idol in Mexico because he was so tough and never gave in.

how can any boxing fan sit there and say Sanchez, Morales and JMM are true warriors but not JCC and MAB? its fine if you dont like them but to say the others are warriors and those two arent is some ingnorant bs. out of those guys i was/is only a big fan of MAB but like watching the others. they all were warriors imo. i dont have to like you to show the respect they deserve.

I disagree. Although Oscars prime was shorter than JCC and JCC has a far better resume, I would say Oscar in his prime was a more skilled fighter than JCC in his prime. Even though JCC should of given credit, the least he could of done is put Oscar in a good light with the Mexican community. If he had supported Oscar, Oscar would of never gotten flack from the Mexicans and probably would be loved by the community. Instead he sat back, did lines of coke, and was greedy and spiteful.

WTF?? That is something I have never understood from the Mexican people....why would you hate someone that represents all Latinos very well? Someone who is well-spoken, good looking and respectful? I mean WTF???Why?? IDK, I think if you talk about just pure boxing skill, I would say yes or maybe. Those people in this thread and in boxing in general that say Chavez was just a brawler are idiots who don't watch boxing, that's obvious. I do think that when you talk about just pure boxing ability, I don't think it's that far off to say Oscar had better skills.

He was definitely faster than Chavez, had a better jab and better natural attributes. He was longer, taller and was more refined from having over 300 amateur fights.

It doesn't mean he's the better fighter, there were things Chavez had that can't be beat. Like an iron chin, incredible body work, precise punching and a very underrated defense. He also had a serious mean streak that made him more determined than the terminator in seeking you out and destroying you.

I am American of Mexican descent, or Chicano. Ethnically I am 100% Mexican, both my parents come from Mexico and are Mexican.

A Chinese person can be born in the U.S, they would be American by nationality and Chinese by ethnicity.
